Fireplace Room

There are two spacious, sunny guest rooms on the third floor:

The Studio, 25' by 13', with 12 foot ceilings is furnished with an antique brass king-sized bed, which can be converted to twins.

The Fireplace Room, 16 foot square, with a working fireplace, has a queen-sized bed, and private phoneline.

Both rooms have comfortable sitting areas with a sofa, desk, television. Each room has five windows, which provide through breezes, although fans and air-conditioning are available in the summer. Both rooms share a modern bathroom, with marble sink and shower/tub combination. Beds have comfortable mattresses, down comforters (when needed), and a choice of down or fiberfill pillows.

Rates are $95.00 single, $120 double (winter) and $110 single/$130 double (March-December), including breakfast.

Generally there is a 2 night minimum stay; with three nights over fall 'leaf' weekends, or Harvard Commencement. Rates are subject to change without notice, with weekly rates available for longer stays. One night stays are often accepted on short notice.

A deposit for one night's stay, or a credit card number to hold a reservation, is required. Credit card payments are accepted through the Paypal secure site, but payment is preferred with personal check in US dollars, travellers checks, or cash.

Deposit is completely refundable for cancellation with two weeks or more notice. Less than two weeks notice, deposit is refunded if the room can be filled.

Just a few policies:

• Pets are not allowed.
• Children over 10 are welcomed.
• Smoking is not permitted inside the house.
• Flexible check in time: just arrange with us when you'll arrive (before 10:30 pm, please!)
• Check out time by noon from your room, but bags may be left until evening.
