Avon Hill Street is just north of Linnaean Street, at the north edge of Harvard University's Radcliffe Quadrangle, near the Harvard Observatory, CfA, Lesley University, and Harvard Law School.

We are 4 blocks along Upland Road to Porter Square and the Red Line T station/commuter rail (a 7 minute walk, 1/3 mile or 1/2 km), and the dozens of shops and restaurants along Massachusetts Avenue. Harvard Square is exactly one mile, a 15 minute walk.

For official visitors to Harvard University, we are 500 yards from the Harvard Shuttle Bus stop with regular transport to Harvard Square.

Free parking is available on the street, with a Cambridge visitor parking pass, or if needed, in the B&B's garage.

Directions from airport by public transport:
The new Silver line (airconditioned bus) serves all the airport terminals and takes you to South Station, where you transfer to the underground Red Line.

At South Station, follow  red stripes/signs to for the Red Line MBTA "T" trains downstairs,where you get on the Red Line, INBOUND toward Alewife. Get off at Porter Square, one stop further/after Harvard Square. Come up escalators to street, where you cross Massachusetts Ave. to Upland Rd. (Gourmet Cafe
convenience store on corner).

Walk  west (only direction to go) on Upland Road 4 blocks to Avon Hill Street, (first left is Mt. Vernon, then Walnut, Washington and then Avon Hill St.)  Turn left onto Avon Hill, walk 6 houses down on the left, to #82 (the first with a 2 car  garage). 

Walk is about 6-7 mins/1/3 mile. Alternatively, if you have heavy bags, get out of the T at Harvard Square, one stop before Porter Square, where there are cab stands, and take a taxi-cab one mile to 82 Avon Hill Street, about $6.00.

A cab from the airport runs $40-$45, depending on traffic.
